Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at 06:32AM Pam will be attending the 2004 Campbell Conference, to be held at the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas, on July 8-11, 2004. Other guests will include Brian Aldiss, Greg Bear, Frederik Pohl, George Zebrowski, and Donna Shirley, Director of the Science Fiction Museum in Seattle. The John W. Campbell Award for best science fiction novel and the Theodore Sturgeon Award for best short fiction will be presented at the conference.

Conqueror Fantastic is a collection of 13 original short stories speculating about what might have transpired if the hands of fate had touched certain famous -- and infamous -- leaders differently. Included in this anthology are a baker's dozen of diverse stories -- some alternate history, some fantastical, some horror -- that support Orwell's viewpoint.
